Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Goodwin.
Summer Associate
Had a screener interview and then a callback interview the very next day. It was conversational with a few behavioral questions mixed in. I felt I connected well with the partners and associates, and we had good discussions. I got the callback offer about an hour after the initial screener, so things seemed to be progressing quickly.
- What was your favorite class during your first year of law school?
Summer Associate
I had a screener with the hiring partner first. After that, I got a callback. The callback interview had 4 rounds total. Each round was 30 minutes long. I talked to 2 partners and 2 associates during the interviews. Everything was done over Zoom.
- Tell me about the most challenging academic obstacle you've faced.
Summer Associate
I had a screener with a senior/mid-level associate, and then two days later, I got a callback. For the callback, I met with two senior associates and two partners. It was a cool way to learn about the firm and the questions weren't too hard, though they did ask the usual value-based questions along with going over my resume.
- Can you share an instance where you faced a difficult situation with no good choices, and how you dealt with it, plus what you took away from it?
