Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Goodwill.
Sales Associate
The interview process felt hurried and not very well thought out. The person interviewing me didn't seem genuinely interested in learning about me as a candidate; it was more like they were just going through a checklist. Some of the questions felt a bit condescending, as if they were questioning my responses instead of engaging with them. Rather than being a conversation, it felt like a one-sided and slightly dismissive experience, which made the whole thing awkward. Even the second interviewer seemed uncomfortable!
- Regarding working with people from different backgrounds, can you share if you've worked with individuals from other countries?
- Could you offer more examples of your experience working with people from diverse backgrounds?
Sales Associate
The interview process was very quick and easy. It took place on-site and felt very low-pressure, making me feel quite comfortable. The interviewer was very nice. Although I ended up turning down the job, I recall the process and how pleasant it was.
- Tell me about a situation where you had to handle a difficult employee.
Sales Associate
I talked to the manager for a standard interview. He asked me some things and told me about the job. He then offered me the role, which I took.
- Why did you decide to apply for this role?
