First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Goodgame Studios.
UI Designer
It took about two months to hear back, which felt like a long time. The people and work atmosphere seemed great. I didn't get an offer because I lacked industry experience, even though I traveled internationally for it and wasn't reimbursed. An HR person gave me a really positive sign about my chances, making me hopeful, but it didn't pan out.
- What motivates you to apply to our company?
UI Designer
The interview process was pretty smooth and efficient. There was a bit of a pause around the holidays, but otherwise, we stayed in touch regularly. It started with some initial chats, then I was given a design test. After that, I had a Skype interview which was a pleasant experience. While the design test could have been more closely aligned with the specifics of the job description, I thought the scope of the work was appropriate.
- Were there any questions about the company culture?
- Were the questions straightforward and relevant to the role and the company?
- Did the questions go beyond the typical topics for this position?
UI Designer
The hiring process was quite quick, taking about a month from initial contact to receiving a final decision. It began with a phone interview, followed by a Skype call. The interviews had a relaxed vibe, and the questions were reasonable, with no intention to trick me. The interviewers were approachable and helpful throughout. I'd suggest applying to GGS; they're fair and treat candidates well.
