Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Golin.
Account Executive
It was a great interview experience! The team was friendly, welcoming, and spoke very positively about the company. The process was smooth and simple, and they made sure to explain every step and detail I needed to know.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in Golin?
- What marketing campaigns have you observed and found appealing?
Account Executive
Applied on LinkedIn and received an email invitation from HR within a week. The scheduled interview was on a Monday morning, but the HR was delayed by traffic and had to reschedule for an hour later. The HR seemed to have had a rough start to their morning and didn't appear enthusiastic about the conversation. The interview was brief, lasting only 10 minutes, and I wasn't given an opportunity to ask any questions.
- What are your long-term aspirations for this role?
Account Executive
I applied online and after a few weeks, a recruiter from Chicago called me for a pre-screen. Then I had interviews with some executives, but it wasn't the right fit. About a month later, the recruiter called again, saying they liked my background and thought I might fit another role. I went back and interviewed with three executives: a senior VP and two people in similar roles to the new opening. They ended up hiring an intern they knew well. It was a bummer to put so much effort in, and I felt like I was a sure thing for the second position, which was disappointing.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
