Assistant General Manager
The interview process included scenario-based questions focusing on people management. The questions weren't overly difficult and didn't always have a single correct answer, requiring some on-the-spot thinking. There were 2 interview rounds. A background in swim school experience is preferred.
- A swim instructor is encouraging a child who is fearful of going underwater, but the parent disagrees with the instructor's methods and wants to switch teachers at the front desk. How would you handle this situation?
Assistant General Manager
I went through 3 interviews and when scheduled the 4th no one showed up on the zoom. I tried to follow up with the initial person (twice) I was in contact with and she finally responded saying she was trying to reschedule. I never heard anything back. I understand not getting the position, but this was unprofessionalism at its finest.
- What prompted your interest in working at Goldfish?
Assistant General Manager
I got reached out to through ZipRecruiter. It was a long and drawn-out process. The interview was in early October, and I met with them two more times after that. I got an offer in December.
