Scientist
So the interview process was quite extensive. It began with a 30-minute phone call, and then about three weeks later, I had a 6-hour on-site interview. The on-site part kicked off with a 30-minute chat with HR. After that, I met with a bunch of senior folks, around a dozen of them, for back-to-back 30-minute one-on-one interviews. We then had an hour-long lunch with some of the junior staff. It was a really long and exhausting day. It took them about a month to get back to me, and I actually had to follow up once to get an update.
- I don't recall any specific questions from the interviews, as I felt well-prepared.
Environmental Scientist
I applied online for the UK graduate programme in January. In March, I was invited to an assessment day, though some other positions had a phone interview first. On the day, there were 12 of us for three different roles. We were split into groups based on the position we applied for. We participated in two group exercises and took an individual English test focusing on sentence structure, punctuation, and passive voice. Those who passed were invited back after lunch for a face-to-face interview. It was a brief 30-minute chat, without technical questions, focusing more on my motivations for consultancy and my thoughts on the team's future challenges. A very quick math test on percentages and units was also included. The interviewers were very friendly, making it feel more like a casual conversation than a formal interview.
- I was surprised by the brief math test on percentages and units, which was quick and easy.
Environmental Scientist
Got an email invitation for a meeting, either face-to-face or on Teams. We talked about my experience and the company, and they asked about my salary expectations and if I'm okay with working away for periods. They also checked my technical skills. Then I got an offer letter.
- Can you introduce yourself and highlight your relevant experience?
