Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Golder Associates.
Proposal Coordinator
The interview process was well organized. I had a good phone interview and they moved me to an in-person interview. The interview itself was about an hour long and I spoke with one manager over Skype and another person in person. The questions were typical interview questions and focused on getting to know me. They seemed very interested in my responses, and the difficulty felt normal.
- Have you ever had to decline a request at work?
Project Coordinator
The interview was in person and they make you feel comfortable before asking you questions. There were 3 people and each of them asked questions. After that, I had to wait for about three weeks for them to get back to me.
- Can you tell us about yourself?
Proposal Coordinator
I applied for the job and got a call from HR in Calgary for a pre-interview. I had to explain why I left each job, which felt defensive. I'm ambitious and like learning, and I usually outgrow smaller companies.
- Could you walk me through your past roles and explain your reasons for leaving each one?
