Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Golden Hippo.
Marketing
The process involves a few virtual interviews. First, there was a screening call with HR. After that, I had a virtual video interview with the hiring manager and some people from other teams.
- Can you describe your previous work history and experience?
- What personal character traits define you?
Marketing
I had one initial call with a Talent Acquisition Partner, and then never heard from anyone at Golden Hippo again. The call consisted of being methodically asked questions from a long list of questions and then being told what the next steps in the interview process would be. However, even after following up several times I never heard anything from them and was completely ghosted.
- What makes you want to work at this company?
- Could you tell me about your hobbies?
Marketing
This company's interview process for a marketing role felt strange, focusing heavily on critiquing my resume for an hour without letting me showcase my skills or ask relevant questions. They were unclear about the team, vertical, and daily tasks. A so-called director seemed to lack knowledge of common digital marketing terms and questioned my understanding of ROAS after I mentioned a successful campaign. The interview felt condescending, and the products themselves seemed questionable, possibly like a scam or MLM targeting older individuals.
- Tell me about marketing campaigns you've managed.
- Could you elaborate on campaigns you have run?
- What campaigns have you executed?
