First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Golden Events Group.
Marketing Assistant
I had two interviews for the Marketing Assistant role. The first one was quick and didn't tell me much. The second interview required a long drive (6 hours) to meet at a Sam's Club and walk around. It was presented like an event, but there wasn't one. They mentioned I'd hear back within a few hours after both interviews, but that never happened. After the first interview, they called me about a week later. For the second one, they never contacted me, leaving me unsure about the outcome.
- What sets you apart?
Marketing Assistant
The interview process was very straightforward and informative. It had 3 steps. The second interview actually happens at an event, so you get to see what you'd really be doing if you got the job, which I think is super helpful for everyone involved. The 'events' involve promoting startup brands at places like Costco, Sam's Club, and Kroger, where you basically work a display table to try and get sales.
- What unique contributions can you make to our company?
- Can you share if you have any prior management or leadership experience?
- Is working nights and weekends something you can do?
Marketing Assistant
I got a call the day after I applied online and then had an interview scheduled for the next day. When I arrived, there were three other people waiting. The first round wasn't too hard, but I immediately figured out it was a SALES job.
- Are you comfortable working as part of a team?
- Can you recall a time when you had to take the lead?
