Engineering Analyst

Administrative Assistant
I had the worst interview ever for an Administrative Assistant - Continuous Improvement CX role at Smiles in Barueri. Right from the start, it was clear the employees were unprofessional and unprepared. They seemed lost throughout and I felt judged, maybe based on my appearance. Even though I met all the job requirements, the interview only lasted 28 minutes and they only asked five basic questions: why I chose my course, about my experience, if I had data experience, and for a practical example. The recruiter read questions mechanically, showing a lack of preparation. The hiring manager didn't ask anything and was rude, not paying attention to my answers. Overall, a very negative experience, showing the company's total lack of preparedness in managing its hiring processes.

Coordinator
I applied through the Gupy platform, but since I know it can be slow, I also reached out to the recruiter on LinkedIn. Initially, they were very attentive and responded to messages quickly and clearly. I went through interviews with HR, management, and a culture interview with senior leadership and potential peers. The whole process was fast, about a week, and the conversations were pleasant. Despite the natural nervousness of a selection process, everyone was very receptive. My negative point was the complete silence afterward. I was informed about a closing date for the position, and even though I requested an update, the company simply stopped responding. I saw that the position is still open, and the closing date is quite long - March/2026, and it has been open since August/25. I was really excited about the company, I know I have all the necessary skills and I did well in the process, but this silence causes frustration and disappointment with the company. We invest time and don't even get an automated message. I understand it was during a year-end 'break' period, but they themselves mentioned they wanted to close the position ASAP.

Product Designer
The hiring process was very amateurish and confusing. I was initially excited to interview for a Product Designer role in the airline industry with a reputable company, but the experience was far from what I expected. Initial contact for scheduling involved only emails, with no direct recruiter interaction. I received three separate rescheduling emails an hour before the initially agreed-upon times, forcing me to reorganize my schedule each time. This raised a red flag about the company. The first meeting involved a PM who repeated HR questions and discussed a role that was completely different from the job description, which advertised a generalist Product Designer position but the PM was looking for someone focused on Design Systems. Despite this mismatch, I surprisingly advanced. My trust in the company was low, but I continued. In the next stage, I presented my case study to the PM and team, trying to incorporate some Design System work, knowing it wasn't exactly what they seemed to need. The following day, I received a call stating they liked my profile and I had passed. However, they couldn't meet my salary expectation from the first interview and asked if I was willing to lower it. I found this unprofessional and asked for their offer. They vaguely mentioned 6-6.5k, significantly lower than my requested 8.5k (which is the average for a mid-level designer with 5 years of experience). I stated I would only lower it slightly and they said they would get back to me after internal approval. They never did, ghosting me entirely despite liking my profile. The entire process was flawed and unprofessional.
