Adding my two cents on the Gojek interview process so far. 💚 The Good: Overall, interviewing at Gojek has been a solid experience—neither a walk in the park nor a total brain-melter. The questions were challenging but fair (fingers crossed I answered them right!). I went through five interviews over one and a half months, with the fifth one being the final boss battle. ⏳ The Not-So-Good: The waiting time between interviews? Painfully long. But the real kicker? It’s been three weeks since the final interview, and—crickets. At this point, I’m assuming the answer is a no. The prolonged radio silence is the main reason why I’d rate the overall experience as just okay. I’ll update this review if I ever get a final response. Because, let’s be real—just like driver ratings matter, candidate feedback does too. 🚦
- Tell me about your design workflow.
- Walk me through how you'd tackle this design case.
- Your experience: does it align with what we need?

I had a portfolio round where I presented my work and was asked a few questions about it. The next day, I was told the round wasn't satisfactory and I might not be a good fit. I felt the interviewers could have asked more questions to understand my process if they had doubts, as only asking 3-4 questions wasn't enough to assess things. Also, compared to other interviews I've had, the interviewers seemed inexperienced with virtual interviews. Asking better questions would help assess candidates more effectively. I'm sharing this feedback to help the organization improve its virtual interview process and aid other interviewees.
- Can you tell us about your journey into UX?
- Walk us through your portfolio presentation.

The hiring process was quite thorough, involving several steps starting with a portfolio review, followed by a walkthrough of your portfolio, and then a live case study where you solve a problem. It's an interactive process where you meet different team members at each stage. This helps the interviewers assess your skills and how you collaborate, while also giving you a good look at the team and the people you'd be working with.
- Can you elaborate on the rationale behind specific design choices you made?
- What were the main takeaways from the project?
- How did your work influence the business outcomes?
