So I had this interview that started out really well. The recruiter and the first engineer I talked to were great. Then I interviewed with the lead engineer and they asked me to do a take-home project. The task was to build an API to manage and update IT tickets, including specific user info. It wasn't too hard but took more time than a typical online coding challenge. I submitted my GitHub link and then just waited. And waited. It's been three weeks and I haven't heard anything back – no calls, no emails, not even an automated response. I've definitely left negative reviews for interviews before, but this takes the cake. The lack of professionalism and basic respect is unbelievable. They couldn't even take five minutes to send an email or make a call to let me know they chose someone else?

Got a call from a recruiter at Vettery. First, there was a phone call. After that, I had to do a coding challenge where I needed to calculate the frequency of characters in a given text. Then, I had a 3-hour onsite interview. It included three parts: one-on-one with a developer, a session with two managers, and finally, a meeting with another senior developer. It seems like they might not have specific openings or recruit based on needs, as Vettery seems to interview candidates just for practice and doesn't even provide feedback, even when I asked the recruiter.
