It took a really long time to hear back. First, I met with the Area Manager, and it seemed to go well. After about a month of no news, I got an email to set up a phone interview with the store manager. That interview was about 30 minutes and had basic questions. A week later, I had another one-on-one interview with the district manager at the store, asking the same basic questions. Then I interviewed with HR, and it was more in-depth than the previous ones. After that, a week passed, and the store manager called to do reference checks. Another week went by, and I got a conditional offer, pending a background check and drug screen, which they said could take one to two weeks.

I found a part-time key holder job on Craig's List and the DM contacted me for an interview within a week. After that, I got a call back within another week to start paperwork and background checks, which took a week. So, I started about a month after I applied. After 6 months, I got promoted to full-time key holder, and then 8 months later, I became an ASM and moved to a busier store. I didn't have any more interviews for these promotions because I already had a relationship with my DM and was just filling in for people who left. Overall, it was a good hiring experience with good chances to move up after getting hired.
