Don't even consider applying here, they'll either lowball you or ghost you after many rounds. I went through 9 rounds, which took over a month and was a huge time commitment to schedule around leaders' availability. In the 8th round, the HR manager said my compensation expectations were higher than their offer for this role and she'd check with management for a better package. I had some hope. Be upfront about budget constraints, I'd respect that. Instead, you went silent for 2 months, which felt unfair and not transparent. It's better to just say no than have candidates go through everything for nothing. I'm very disappointed. I would have appreciated an update that you're moving on with another candidate or at least a summary of my results after 9 rounds. Management, please be more courteous, respectful, transparent, and caring towards interviewees.

The interview was straightforward, conducted over Zoom. The interviewer was friendly and mainly asked questions about my previous job. The interview structure was easy and not complicated. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back even after asking for an update, which is a shame because I thought the interview went very smoothly.

It started with a recruiter call, followed by a Zoom interview with the hiring manager. Then, there were four 30-minute Zoom interviews with the team I would join. The hiring manager seemed nice and smart. The team I met with appeared a bit disorganized. They all did different things, which might be normal in a flatter company structure. I asked each person what kind of candidate would be a good fit for the role they were hiring for. Each of them gave a different answer, and one even said the job description I had was out of date, even though I got it recently. When I asked about the new description, it was much more technical than the original plan, and I realized it didn't align with my background. At that point, I figured I wouldn't get an offer. It would've been better to figure this out before spending over 3 hours in interviews. Everyone I talked to was clearly skilled, and despite some confusion about what they were looking for, it was good interview practice.

The interview process wasn't too intensive, I found it fairly easy. I met with the 2 hiring managers together, then an HR representative. They mainly all wanted to get a sense of who I am, what skills I have, and if I would be a good fit at GMO and on their team. The 2 hiring managers asked me questions about my soft-skills, background, and interest in the company and position. The HR rep just asked me about my background/resume for the most part; I think he was there to provide a second opinion to the hiring managers. None of the questions stumped me or were too difficult if you are able to talk about yourself. Overall, I found it very easy to get along with all 3 interviewers, and I felt more comfortable than I have in most interviews (which led me to accept the offer).
