Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GMMB.
Account Executive
I made it to the 3rd round of interviews, and the people I spoke with were very nice and interesting. However, I haven't heard back since, even after sending multiple follow-up emails. It would be good practice to at least let a candidate know the outcome, especially after they've reached a final round.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in GMMB?
- What do you consider your strengths and weaknesses to be?
- Can you share an example of a past learning opportunity?
Account Executive
I had a really great first call with the recruiter in DC. I felt super positive after we spoke, and she said she'd get back to me the next Monday about the next steps, which would have been an in-person interview. I was really looking forward to hearing more about the Seattle office since the recruiter was so easy to chat with and friendly. I reached out via email the following week, and then by phone at the end of that week. It's now been three weeks, and I still haven't heard back or received any response to my attempts to follow up. I'm guessing I didn't get the job, but honestly, a simple follow-up email would have been nice after that initial conversation.
- What's your general background and experience like?
- Can you tell me about your experience related to the specific field this role covers?
Account Executive
I applied online and a friend there flagged my application. The recruiter reached out shortly after. We had a short phone conversation. Then, I had several rounds of virtual interviews with different hiring managers. There was also a 3-hour writing and skills test. The hiring managers were really nice and understanding, even when I had technical difficulties. It was mostly standard behavioral questions. I didn't hear back for a couple weeks, so I reached out. They responded kindly saying they went with someone else. I didn't get the offer, but I appreciated their professionalism.
