Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GM Financial.
Project Manager
The interview process at GM Financial was long and felt disorganized. I went through multiple rounds with gaps in between, making scheduling difficult. Each interview felt different, and some interviewers didn’t seem fully informed about my background or previous conversations. Overall, it felt impersonal and left me with a poor impression of their candidate experience. If you’re considering interviewing here, be prepared for a lengthy and inconsistent process.
- Could you tell me about your background?
Project Manager
So after I applied, they sent me an email for a video interview. Then, I got another email to set up a time to chat with the team I'd be joining. After that interview, it took them a whole month to let me know if I got the job. The weirdest thing was how nice everyone was during the interviews, but they took forever to get back to me.
- Could you start by telling us about yourself?
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a problem and how you addressed it?
Project Manager
Got a call back within 3 weeks of applying. First, I had a phone screen with the recruiter. The questions were pretty basic and easy. We determined the salary was too low, so it wasn't a good fit.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
