Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GM Financial.

The interview was quite brief. There were three interviewers, two men and one woman. They didn't have any specific questions prepared. It felt very informal. They asked me to talk about my experience, and they'd chime in sometimes. I felt pretty good about it. I had a chance to ask questions, and I made sure to ask good ones. It's been a week since then and I haven't heard back, so I'm not sure about the outcome.
- Can you share a bit about yourself?
- Describe an instance where you significantly contributed to an organization.

It felt like a bunch of old guys who were out of touch. I didn't see any women in any of my interactions. The virtual interview felt super rushed. It's hard to get to know someone in less than 15 minutes, especially when the interviewer talks the whole time and only asks behavioral stuff. It was a waste of time.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a difficult circumstance?
- Describe a situation where you had to make a tough choice.
- Recount a time you had to deal with a challenging coworker.

First, I had a phone interview with HR, who is based in Texas. That went really well. Then, they had me come in for an interview at the Horsham location. I got there 30 minutes early to make sure I was on time. It was a pretty standard interview with two people interviewing me. They asked me regular interview questions and it went well! The people were nice!
- Tell me about a time you faced a challenge and overcame it.
