It started with a quick phone screen with an engineer, then I had a full day of interviews at the office. I met with several engineers one-on-one. We talked about the specific technologies for the job, mostly the backend for their multiplayer games. The conversations were about handling big loads efficiently and making sure things are resilient.

Technical Coding

Got referred by a friend. A recruiter reached out and gave me a Unity project challenge. It took me about 4 hours to complete, it wasn't too complex and didn't require difficult algorithms. After that, I had a call with their lead engineer. I felt the conversation went well, but haven't heard back since.

Behavioral Technical Coding

I started with a recruiter call at Glu to go over what I was looking for and the role. Then, I had an onsite interview where I chatted with a few engineers about my past experiences and how I'd tackle some problems they were dealing with. I got a call shortly after saying they liked me and an offer was usually next. After a few days, I was told there was a mix-up and I still needed to do a coding test. I completed and submitted that, and on the same day, they let me know they were going to present me with an offer.
