Digital Marketing Manager
The interview process involved meeting with the manager I'd report into, the VP of brands, and both co-founders, with each meeting lasting about half an hour. Each person asked around 4-5 questions. Scheduling was a bit difficult, making the process drawn out, but overall it was straightforward.
- Which brands do you consider to be industry leaders and what's your reasoning?
- Can you share an example of a digital marketing campaign you led to success?
- How do you evaluate the performance of your marketing initiatives?
Marketing Intern
I saw the listing on Linkedin by TA and reached out to them via email with my resume and cover letter. Within three days I was set up with an interview with the person who would be my manager if I got the role. The interview itself was fairly straight forward, a variety of behavioral questions demonstrating interest in position, past experiences, how you deal with fast-paced and ever-changing environments. I personally thought my interview went super well and I really connected with the manager. I was even okay with the internship being unpaid because it would be remote, but ultimately I was passed over because I'm a senior in college and "don't need the credits" since they don't offer pay/stipend.
- Why are you a good fit for this position?
Demand Planning Manager
I spoke with an outside recruiter two times, then I did four interviews with the Glow Recipe team. The whole thing took 8 weeks. There was at least 1-2 weeks between each interview. They weren't super clear about the job. I never got a job description or listing, so it was really unclear what the duties were. I don't think they even knew what they were looking for, just that they needed help with Demand Planning. After five interviews, including two with the CEOs, I got ghosted and never heard back from anyone.
- Could you share your experience working with international retail?
Account Executive
Applied in September 2022 via LinkedIn, heard back in November. First was a 30-min video call with a team member, went well. Second was an hour-long interview with the CSO. The CSO mostly talked about their own career success, which felt demeaning. I had less than 5 minutes to ask questions. After that, I wasn't interested in the company.
- They asked me questions repeatedly to see how I would answer each aspect.
- They asked me the same questions in different ways to see how I answered in each aspect.
