The interview experience was pretty fast and pretty casual (might change depending on the manager). It was very conversational. Make sure you bring your resume, dress nicely, and be prepared to talk about your past work experience.
- Can you introduce yourself?
Server
I applied in person, then had an initial interview with a manager to set up a proper interview. The first interview was mainly about my qualifications and experience, and I had to do a role-play where I sold them a menu item. I got a call within an hour for a second interview with the hiring manager. She asked about my previous server experience, my availability, and my reasons for leaving my last job. I asked some good questions, and she mentioned that servers make $2.13/hour. When I asked about the next steps, she said she'd check with the other manager to see what position would be best for me. She said she'd call on Friday, but also suggested I come in on Saturday in case she forgot. I couldn't connect with her on Saturday, and she was in a meeting the following Monday. It's been a few days and I haven't heard back.
- They had me do a test where I had to sell something from the menu. The other questions were standard.
- Sell me something from the menu.
- Do you have previous experience working as a server?

The interview process went smoothly. All the questions asked were easy to understand. I was able to clarify my understanding of different situations, my menu knowledge, and how I approach customer service.
- What's your approach to handling an unhappy customer?
- Can you tell me about your knowledge of the menu?
- How do you ensure good customer service?
