First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GLOBO.
Software Engineer
Had a super friendly screening call with HR. Then a second round with the technical team that was a bit more objective. During the second stage, I felt a lack of motivation in guiding the interviewee toward the desired response domain, but it's totally understandable.
- Could you describe your ideal leadership style?
- Can you explain what occurs after a request is made in the browser?
Interpreter
First, we do a screening to see if you're eligible. Then, there's a technical test on GLOBOHQ modules. After that, you'll have an interview with Joseph, your potential manager, to talk about fit and scenarios. Then, HR (Henry) will chat with you about documents, salary, and if you're ready to onboard. Finally, if all goes well, we extend an offer.
- Regarding your availability, what can you share?
- What drives your motivation for this opportunity?
- Could you elaborate on your Odoo knowledge?
Corporate Recruiter
I had a screening interview with Globo and was told they would follow up after the holiday, but that follow-up never happened. I reached out for an update and received no response. Ghosting candidates after an interview shows a lack of professionalism and respect for people’s time. If this is how they treat potential employees, I can only imagine what it’s like working there. Definitely a disappointing experience overall.
- Tell me about your experience with recruiting.
Video Editor
The job interview involved a detailed assessment of the candidate's technical and creative skills. We discussed previous projects, knowledge of equipment, editing software, creativity in visual composition, ability to tell stories through videos, and teamwork. We also asked the candidate to show a solid portfolio and a deep understanding of current trends in video production.
- Could you share your experience in video production and what editing software you prefer?
- Tell me about a difficult video project you finished recently.
- How do you keep up with new developments in video production?
