Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Globe Life Liberty National Division.
Sales Associate
They are very upfront about the hiring process. They're looking for people with a great personality and attitude and don't require any experience. They are understanding and treat candidates well.
- Can you tell me about your previous sales experience?
Sales Associate
I applied online and they called me pretty fast to set up an interview. I went in and we were seated at a conference room table with another applicant. I didn't wait long before I was taken to an office where they asked me some general questions about my background. I passed that and went to an info session with about 12 of us in a classroom setting where we got a really nice, informative presentation. They didn't tell us at that time that the job is 100% commission and 1099. I got a call back for the last interview and that's when I found out there was no draw or parachute for the transition period after doing some research.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Liberty National?
Sales Associate
Had a quick chat, then they gave a presentation about the company. There was also a personality test. This company is pretty well-known for sales, been around for like 117 years. They rely on salespeople since they don't do much media advertising. It's a bit tricky to find online because people confuse it with Liberty Mutual, but it's not that. I'm not totally sure how they pick candidates based on the personality test results. What you think are good answers might not be what they're looking for.
