I applied online for a Customer Service Representative role and was contacted by a recruiter via email for an interview lasting up to 90 minutes. The first interview involved a questionnaire, followed by a brief assessment to see if I'd proceed to a presentation. I learned they needed to fill 3 positions that week, none of which were Customer Service Representative roles. Then, I joined about 15 people in a conference room for a presentation about the company and commissions, after which another questionnaire was given. I was sent home and later called back for a second interview. When I asked about the position I was being considered for, the presenter mentioned 'Benefits Coordinator Manager'. Confused, I asked the recruiter for the job description, but they sent one for a 'Talent Acquisition Coordinator'. During the second interview the next day, I completed yet another questionnaire and spoke with the Agency Owner. I clarified the position discrepancy, and the owner stated I was being interviewed for a 'Career Agent' position. I then asked questions that hadn't been answered before, but was ultimately told I was 'not a good fit'. This second interview was very short, around 10 minutes, and I was informed it was an independent contractor role with no benefits, no paid training, no travel reimbursement, a license fee, and that breaking even was projected for weeks 6-8.

I was contacted by the company and they asked me to come for an interview out of state. I drove up there and it turned out to be a group interview. The Branch Lead gave us a sales pitch about why Liberty National is the best life insurance company and that they only want the best. Then, different team leads took us individually. My lead asked me about my biggest concerns. I told them I needed a job with a salary because I have two mortgages, and I liked the company, but I had some questions. They told me it was commission-only and might take a month or more to get paid, and it would be small. Then they asked me to rate my interest on a scale of 1-10. I said 8, even though I felt misled because it was a sales job, not CSR. I asked a question and got a vague answer, then they brought me back to the scale. They told me to go home and think about it and call them if I was 100% in.

It went very well, full of information. Everyone was very nice and had good energy. They had everyone in a room like a meeting and individual interview as well. I would recommend to anyone who is interested in a sales job.
