Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Globe Life Family Heritage Division.
Sales Representative
The process was pretty straightforward, but the initial contact rushed me and said I needed to meet the agency director quickly. I gave her my availability, and then waited a few days without hearing back. I followed up, and she mentioned she'd talked to the director and I was supposed to get a call that day, but I never did. After the weekend, I reached out again, but still no response from either of them. It felt really disrespectful to get my hopes up and then just be ghosted after being told I was moving forward.
- What qualities would make me a good candidate for this position?
Sales Professional
I got a phone call initially for a 10 min interview, where they described the job as selling to business owners and CEOs. Then I had a group interview where we had to do a sales presentation and they showed videos about the company. Another phone interview followed. The job requires an insurance license that the applicant pays for. This seemed fine, but during training, I found out it was actually door-to-door sales to individuals, not businesses. Training involves flying, hotel, and a week of classes. We have to memorize the presentation. If you leave the job, you have to pay back all training costs.
- What makes you want to join Family Heritage?
- Is owning a car a requirement?
Sales Representative
First, you do a web interview that goes over policies and benefits. Then, the second interview is if you are interested. The earnings potential is great! You will need some time to get trained but after that, it seems like it would be an insurance that would be easy to sell because it would appeal to a lot of people.
- What is your interest in family heritage insurance?
