First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Globant.
Senior DevOps Engineer
It was a multi-stage process. They checked my skills, qualifications, and if I'd fit the team. They used screenings, skills tests, and several interviews, including phone, video, in-person, and panel interviews. It felt pretty straightforward, not too hard.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD?
- Linux basics?
- Terraform experience?
DevOps Engineer
The interviewer was super patient and made me feel really comfortable. Even though I didn't do my best, they were super well-behaved and it ended up being a great learning experience for me.
- Tell me about Terraform.
- Tell me about Cloudformation.
- Tell me about Lambda.
Devops Engineer
I was contacted via LinkedIn. There were 3 interviews: HR, a general DevOps technical interview, and a specific technical interview with the team. In the first interview, I stated my current salary. Only after the three interviews (and after they asked to contact my previous boss for references) did they make an offer of USD 2,300 (mid-level) monthly, which was less than my current salary and with fewer vacation days. I declined. They increased it by 9% and I rejected it again. My advice: discuss salary explicitly beforehand because they are disloyal and waste your time.
- Tell me about your experience with Kubernetes.
- What is your understanding of Azure DevOps?
- Can you explain deployment groups?
