Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GlobalTranz.
Inside Sales Representative
I got a call from a number out of state and missed it. I called back about ten minutes later and the woman started off the interview with, "So, you've had a lot of different jobs it looks like?" Much of my previous experience is in restaurant management, which I did while earning my degree. I explained this and she seemed skeptical. I have a speech impediment and she seemed irritated by this, but maybe she was just having a bad day. She basically hinted that I wasn't a strong candidate by saying, "If you don't hear back from us, I wouldn't bother." It was a really awkward interview and she seemed uninterested in my background. I figured I was just a call to compare with more qualified candidates, which happens, but it could have been handled more professionally. Thumbs down.
- Would you be open to traveling out of state if it was at your own expense?
Inside Sales Representative
It was pretty straightforward. Just gotta talk well, look sharp, and know the company before you go in. They ask simple stuff about you and how you can contribute. Be honest, talk about your work ethic, leadership skills, and your drive to close deals.
- What makes you interested in a sales career?
Inside Sales
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It was just one interview, and then I got the offer not long after. The interview itself was with two managers and it was less than an hour long.
- Can you share an instance where you assumed a leadership position?
