You can apply online through either the success factors portal for engineer and experienced technician jobs, or their technician portal which is a pain because you can only apply to one job every six months. They also make you take a fit test, like a basic psych test to gauge your behavior at work, punctuality, and how you treat people. First two interviews HR didn't tell me what I was interviewing for, and the hiring managers seemed to have communication issues with HR. Most interviews were straightforward, mostly asking about experience and basic stuff. They don't follow up, which is weird considering they needed so many workers. The interview rooms are basic, with no food or drink provided. Typically, you'll interview with a section manager and then a few shift supervisors/managers/engineers. A major drawback is that many engineer and tech jobs require you to accept and work any shift as part of the job offer and description. Shifts are 12 hours, rotating 3 on 4 off. They won't tell you your assigned shift until your orientation day, about 3 weeks after the offer. It seems they struggle to fill night shifts, and I've heard people get moved to different shifts based on company needs. For pay, friends with AAS degrees in EET or semiconductor started at $16-$17/hr, while I was offered $27/hr with a BS degree and experience. Friends also mentioned it's hard to get promoted and the process is slow. Before the interview, there's a computer-based skills/IQ test called SAM. If invited for an interview, there's a car building exercise. Engineer and management jobs require a PowerPoint presentation. The location is in a high cost of living area with expensive housing and property taxes. I've heard complaints about a lack of teamwork and high turnover when the company first opened. Salary is okay; engineers generally make decent money anywhere, so this place doesn't necessarily overpay them, except maybe HR.

I applied online multiple times and each time I got an invite for a 3-hour online test, but I never did it because I didn't have the time. Eventually, I took the test when I had some free time, and the next day a recruiter called me. They invited me for an onsite interview the following week. They covered my flight, hotel, rental car, and reimbursed me for meals, transportation to and from the airport, and gas for the rental car. The interview included a group exercise where I worked with three other candidates to build toy cars. This part was to assess teamwork, quick thinking, and attention to detail. After the group exercise, I had three separate interviews with HR, the technical team, and management. I assume there will be a background check after this, and then an offer if all goes well.

Behavioral Technical Group

Met a manager at a job fair who suggested I apply online. I filled out an online questionnaire with agreement-scale statements about job safety, teamwork, and punctuality, along with my education and work history, and attached my resume. Then I took a multi-hour SAM test at a local center, which included behavioral questions and some basic math/manufacturing questions. After passing that, I was invited for interviews with HR, my potential manager, and a group exercise where we worked on a project together and our interaction was observed. A few weeks later, I heard back about further interest, and about a month after that, I received an offer via email with salary and benefits details (the shift was determined after accepting). HR was very helpful throughout.
