Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GlobalEnglish.
Senior Software Engineer
The interview process includes a technical round, a manager round, and an HR round. The technical round is based on the projects you've worked on and their technologies. Then, there's a deep dive into technologies, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Can you explain the benefits of using dependency injection?
Software Testing Engineer
Worst experience ever. They set up a Skype call. The recruiter seemed uninterested in conducting the interview and didn't respond to my answers. I had to prompt her after each answer to acknowledge completion. It was very irritating.
- A Java program question was asked.
Software Engineer
Got a call letter by mail from the HR. Totally 2 technical interviews and 1 HR interview followed by a meeting with the top officials. The technical interviews didn't go too deep into technical stuff, more like general questions, but they can easily tell if you have the skills listed on your resume. The HR interview was mostly about negotiation and notice period. Positives: HR was very supportive during the interview process. The interviewers were friendly. There is no variable pay. Negatives: No option for telephonic or weekend interviews. Had to take 2 days off to attend the interview. They are only providing minimum PF (Rs.780 per month).
- Were there any difficult questions asked?
