It was pretty easy to get this interview. I saw an ad on Craigslist for a BA position and got an email from Kerri really fast, with an interview set up for the next day. After that, Brian emailed me a Survey Interview questions document. It asked about compensation, per diem, and other general stuff for the interview. Since this job is 100% commission, I'd tell anyone looking at it to really check the Per Diem amounts, what they're supposed to cover, and also about mileage reimbursement. You'll see why I stopped the process here and didn't go further. Hotels, cars, and food are all supposed to be covered by the per diem, so do the math yourself when you look at it.

The interview started with a phone call from a Business Analyst/Recruiter. They seemed knowledgeable about the position and mentioned that Business Analysts have a high success rate (70-80%) in getting owners to sign up. The role involves demonstrating the value of consultants and working with diverse businesses and their unique problems, which appealed to me given my experience with small businesses. However, after doing some research (looking up "John Burgess Global Resources") at my family's suggestion, I discovered numerous lawsuits against the company. I learned that Global Resources requires employees to pay for travel expenses upfront, with reimbursement later. More concerning, Business Analysts are expected to use high-pressure sales tactics. While I was initially interested in contributing to solutions and learning, I quickly realized this role could become a financial burden, so I withdrew. Fortunately, my losses were only a few hundred dollars, unlike others who reportedly lost thousands. Be wary of this company's claims!

The interview had really positive vibes all through. The person I spoke with was totally upfront and honest about what they expected and what the job required. I actually spoke with the same person two times. He was the Executive Director Recruiter.
