Product Manager
The recruiter called me up out of the blue to schedule some time and asked a couple of things. After that, it was a 30-minute chat with the hiring manager and then another 30-minute interview with FOUR other people from the team. And that was it. The job was really unclear and the whole thing felt super rushed. I had to check like, multiple times, to make sure it wasn't a scam because I've never experienced an interview process this quick. The hiring manager seemed cool to work with, but I didn't feel like I missed out on anything.
- Describe a situation where you used data to influence a product choice.
Product Manager
I applied online and they responded quickly, but it was a one-way interview asking for a video response via Spark Hire. I didn't really like it or feel comfortable with it. It might be a new interview method, but I don't think it's effective because there's no actual human interaction. When you interview face-to-face or over the phone, you can gauge how someone communicates with a real person. I'm interviewing for a job that involves working with people, not auditioning for a voice acting role. Honestly, I'd prefer if the HR person spent about 5 minutes talking to me on the phone instead of requesting a video.
- Can you describe how you manage a challenging project?
Product Manager
First, I had a chat with the recruiter. Then, I interviewed with the hiring manager. The interview wasn't too tough; after I missed a couple of questions, they stopped asking challenging ones.
- Can you tell me about a difficult problem you've solved with a solution you developed?
