Employee Relations Specialist
I recently went through the interview process with Global Partners, and it was a great experience. It involved five chats: a quick phone screen, two times I met with a panel, and then a final on-site meeting where I also got a tour. Every part was super clear and organized, giving me a real feel for the job. I especially liked how into it the team was. Everyone I met was friendly and really engaged in our talks. The on-site visit was a big deal. The place felt chill, focused on employees, and just generally connected. I liked that it was a good way for both of us to see if it was a fit. They're serious about hiring but in a way that feels right, not just like a business deal. It really showed me the vibe they're going for and what matters to them. Honestly, it's one of the best interview processes I've been through. If you're thinking about working for Global Partners, this process really tells you who they are as a company.

Technical Product Manager
It was a long 3-week process with 5 sessions. Some were in-person, some virtual. There was a SQL test and a take-home case study. They only let me advance after checking my technical skills. I presented twice for case study sessions. I thought I did great, especially since I've been a hiring manager and know what strong performance looks like. But they said no because I didn't use their exact tech stack, which sounds crazy for a PM role. Skills like problem-solving, communication, strategy, and understanding users should matter more. If the tech stack was that important, I wouldn't have gotten past the first recruiter call. It's ridiculous they didn't mention this upfront. Such a waste of my time.

I got a call to come in for an interview. First, I met with two people and we mostly talked about their jobs and what they do, then what the company does (they didn't give me a chance to ask questions). Then I met with two more people and again they told me about the company and the position. However, the job duties described were the opposite of what you would actually be doing. Then I met with another person who was completely irrelevant to the position, but they were super nice. I emailed a thank you the next day but never heard back, and the recruiter's email didn't have a reply-to address, so it was pointless.

Workday Reporting Analyst
The interview process started off great. First, I had a screening with the recruiter, and then an interview with the hiring manager. I felt both interviews went exceptionally well. However, after not hearing back for about a week, I reached out to the recruiters via email. No reply. I followed up again a week later, and still no response. It's strange they didn't provide any updates at all. On the plus side, this experience showed me how they manage candidates. If they can ghost an applicant and show zero courtesy or communication skills, I can only imagine how they treat their employees. It's frustrating enough to go through multiple interview rounds only to have my time completely wasted without even the basic courtesy of a follow-up. But, it was definitely a good thing in the end.
