I interviewed for the entry-level business analyst position in March 2026. The phone screening was very short and I was asked for very little information about myself before being scheduled for the case study interview. I was told there would be behavioral questions before the case portion, but the lady went straight to the case. It was the pizza shop scenario that other people have mentioned. I felt like I had been set up to fail and I was expected to remember math formulas from middle school. The scenario was completely unrelated to anything that a business analyst at an auto lending company would actually face, so it felt like an unfair assessment. I tried to think critically, explain my reasoning out loud, and ask strategic questions, but it was unnecessarily hard. When it was over, the lady didn't ask me anything else and told me she was going to score my performance during the case and get back to me with whether or not I passed. I was rejected a few days later. This felt like a very unfair way to assess how well I would perform in the position. I still haven't figured out what they were looking for/what they would've wanted from me. Overall very disappointing.

I interviewed at GLS for a Sr Data Developer role. The first round was a semi-technical interview with the tech lead and engineering manager, which went great. They asked questions about my resume and it lasted an hour. The second round was an online assessment. They mentioned it wasn't a test and there would be no pass/fail result, so I answered a bit casually. However, it turned out to be a screening round, and I didn't pass. I think there would have been three onsite rounds after this.

First I had a recruiter phone screen, then I met with the hiring manager. After that meeting I was sent a link to an assessment that took about an hour. After that the recruiter requested that I come in for a 3 hour interview. I had 4 30 minute-1 hour interviews with 4 different people. Only to be told that they went with an internal candidate. I understand hiring internally, however I think it’s unprofessional to waste an applicant’s time. Asking an applicant to take off half a day of work, only to hire an internal candidate is extremely unprofessional.

I applied online. The VP of Infrastructure called me for a phone interview that lasted about 40-50 minutes. Then, the HR Manager scheduled an online assessment that took about 1.5 to 2 hours. After that, I had an in-person interview for about six hours with five people and the HR Manager. I liked that the interviews were one-on-one. I was given an hour to answer math questions, which was the hardest part. We had lunch off-site. Everyone was nice and welcoming. It seems like a good place to grow and learn a lot. I didn't get the job, but I'm thankful for the opportunity.
