Technical Product Manager
This was probably the worst application experience that I've had so far, especially for someone with about six years of experience. My first contact was with a recruiter who seemed junior and overworked; it took five emails just to set up a video call. I didn't get any info about the role beforehand. The video call itself was with someone who seemed unempathetic and maybe unhappy, as she didn't introduce herself and just started reading questions from a script. It felt very analytical and process-driven, not like a conversation, and the questions were quite personal, which made me uncomfortable. By the end, I still knew little about the role because she just kept asking questions until time ran out, with no chance for me to ask any. After more emails with the recruiter about scheduling a second interview, I decided I was no longer interested.

Product Manager
It was a delightful experience. Everyone was helpful and thoughtful throughout the process. I had a phone interview first, then a one-on-one, followed by a group interview, and finally an interview with the hiring manager. The entire process moved very quickly, wrapping up within a single week.

Technical Product Manager
It started with a recruiter call. Then I had a one-on-one with the hiring manager. The next round was with the VP. After that, I had a one-on-one with a peer TPM and someone from the technical team. Finally, I got an offer.
