Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Global Green Growth Institute.
Senior Associate
After an initial screening, I had to complete a technical assignment where I needed to draft a presentation and create a pivot table using a provided dataset. Following that, I had a 45-50 minute interview with three interviewers.
- What drives your interest in this role?
- Can you share a specific instance where you managed a project?
- How would you navigate complex situations involving external stakeholders?
Associate
They reached out and suggested some interview dates. I replied, but then didn't hear back for about a week. A few days later, we set up a new date, and I had the interview. It seemed to go alright. I asked a couple of times about when I'd hear back, but they were pretty vague both times, just mentioning the start date. As the start date got closer, I followed up again, but they just ghosted me.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you elaborate on your contributions in experience X or Y?
Associate
This was a panel interview, lasted about 30-40 minutes, and had around 10 questions. It was mostly about getting to know me, my skills, and how I deal with tough situations like weaknesses or multitasking.
- Can you share your strengths and weaknesses?
- Describe a challenging situation you've faced.
- How do you manage doing multiple things at once?
