Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Global Custom Commerce.
Customer Service Representative
The first interview involved a tour of the office, which was really impressive with its structure and culture. I then spoke with an HR rep, who was great, followed by a manager, and later two employees in the role. The manager made it feel conversational, which put me at ease. The employees were friendly and down-to-earth, making me feel comfortable. The final interview was with the director of Customer Service. This one made me a bit nervous, but she was nice and straightforward, wanting to understand me and my motivation for wanting to work there. It was a wonderful and the best recruiting experience I've ever had.
- Tell me about a time you had a customer who wouldn't budge and decided not to work with you. How did you handle it?
Customer Service Representative
I applied for a customer service role, but during the interview with Allen, who was really nice, they decided to interview me for sales instead because of my scores. He explained it was a better opportunity, so even though I originally applied for customer service, I went through the sales interview. I didn't get the sales position, but I'm still really hopeful about getting a customer service role. I have excellent customer service skills and would love to be part of the team if they give me the chance.
- Can you describe your experience in sales?
Customer Service Representative
It was a long process. I had to go into the office several times for interviews with different people and panels. It wasn't terrible, but by the end, I was definitely ready for it to be done!
