Behavioral Presentation

This was one of the best interview processes I've experienced. It was super smooth, and HR and the VP of Customer Success kept me constantly updated and were brilliant. It started with an initial screening call with HR. Then, I had two behavioral interviews with the VP of Customer Success, all via Zoom. After that, I did a simulation where I presented a project kick-off for a new customer. This was cool because I could show my skills and how I handle tough customer questions, proving I'm the right fit for the job from Gloat's perspective. Finally, I spoke with the COO and CEO, which really shows how much the company cares about its people by taking the time to chat. I recently watched some customer webinars on their site with companies like Schneider Electric, and you can really tell how amazing and transformative the product is by how passionately customers talk about its impact. If you're on the fence about joining Gloat, I highly recommend watching those recordings; they'll surely get you as excited as they did me! I'm just so ready to start now!

The interview process was very thorough and well-organized. It involved several interview stages, including an interactive simulation. Every interviewer was punctual, had reviewed my resume beforehand, and posed insightful, challenging questions. Since it was during Covid, all interviews were conducted via Zoom. After each interview, the interviewer gave a general idea of what would happen next. The simulation itself was tough but stimulating, which is a positive aspect.

The interview process overall felt disjointed. I was supposed to meet with one person but ended up talking to someone else entirely, who didn't even introduce themselves. I only found out who they were by checking the Zoom name. That was the first red flag. The questions felt generic and the interviewer didn't seem very engaged with my responses. After the interview, I didn't hear back for two weeks. When I contacted the scheduler, they said it would take another week. After that week passed, I followed up again and was told I'd know about next steps the following week. When that time came, I received a standard rejection message stating they were moving forward with other candidates.
