Backend Engineer
So the whole process has like this initial call with the recruiter, then we go into two technical interviews. The first one is basically presenting a project that you've done, and then the second one is a system design question where you have to design a game. After that, there are reference checks and then an HR interview.
- Could you present a project you worked on?
- Can you sketch it out?
- What was the reasoning behind your decisions?
Sales Manager
The interview experience at Gloat was excellent. The team was professional and transparent, making me feel at ease from the beginning. The process was well-organized and they communicated clearly throughout. I liked the thoughtful questions that let me show off my skills and experience. Gloat really seems to care about its candidates and creates a positive, engaging atmosphere.
- When facing a tough market, how do you go about finding new business opportunities?
Front End Developer
The interview process included a recruiter call and then a technical screen. During the technical screen, I was asked to tell about myself and answer 3 javascript questions. The interviewer was behaving in an arrogant way when I told about my previous experience. From that moment, I knew I would not want to work under him. I wanted to send a better solution to an exercise, but hr ignored my message after the interview and did not send a decline message.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Here are 3 javascript questions for you.
Customer Success Operations Manager
I was referred by a Gloat employee and had a really positive and well-run interview experience overall. It started with a recruiter call to chat about my background and if I'd be a good fit. Then, I had an intro Zoom with the VP of CS, followed by another meeting with them. After that, I met with the COO, then HR, and then did a home assignment. I presented my home assignment to the VP and Director of Support. I also interviewed with the Director of Support and finally the Director of CS in the US. They kept me updated after each stage, checking in on my feelings and letting me know what was next.
- Could you walk us through your professional background?
- Can you give us examples of projects you've led, detailing your approach and the resulting impact?
- For the home assignment, we'd like you to analyze a given situation and present your ideas for process improvement and how to measure success.
