Behavioral Technical Case

It started with an HR screener call, which was pretty straightforward, mainly asking about my research background and my interest in GLG. After that, I had a first interview that I felt went really well; it was an engaging conversation, and I felt a good connection with the interviewer. The next steps were supposed to be a case study interview and a final interview. But then, I got completely ghosted. It's been three weeks, and I haven't heard anything back at all.

Technical Behavioral Case Presentation

It started with a screening interview (video with questions, no interviewer), then a phone call with the recruiter. The first round was in-office and included a behavioral interview, role play, and case study. The final round was also in-office with behavioral questions with more senior management. Interviewers were friendly and seemed to genuinely want you to do well, though in the final round they seemed to want specific answers and looked for them. They want to see you'd be fully committed to the role and wouldn't leave a few months in. Went through the full process and didn't receive an offer, but it brought to light this wasn't the field I wanted to work in. Positive interview experience with a range of mini interviews. Three interviews with three people in each round in office.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation Other

A week after applying online, I got a phone call interview. They asked standard questions that you can prepare for after a bit of research: what GLG does, which industries we work with, why clients choose us, why experts choose us, what skills I can bring to the role, and what my daily activities would be as a Research Associate. Ten days later, I had an in-person interview with three Research Managers. What I didn't like was that the interviewers didn't coordinate and each asked the same intro questions: how I heard about GLG, why I'm interested in GLG, what our business model is, and what other jobs I'm applying for. The first manager gave me a situation question: what if I have three urgent tasks - a database task, a 10-day-old client request, and a new client call. How would I prioritize? They wanted to see my thought process. I said I'd first try to reach out to a more important GLG expert based on their membership length and seniority. The second manager did a role-play where I had to recruit an expert for a client's industry questions. I had to introduce GLG, explain the business model and benefits, and be aware of compliance policies, like not disclosing insider info, and only revealing the client's name later. The third manager's interview was a case study, also like a role-play, but talking to a client about a product's value chain and figuring out experts to recruit. I had to ask about their needs: number and type of experts, specific companies, deadlines, and event format, or I could suggest my own ideas. Everyone was nice, and I felt good about it, so I'm not sure why I was rejected with a generic email saying I wasn't the best fit. Maybe it's because I'm not a sales person, and the job involves a lot of cold calling.
