Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GLG.
Associate
I went through 3 rounds of interviews, and I think there are 4 in total. The first was a quick chat with HR about my understanding of the role and job description. Then, a virtual call with someone from the team where I answered competency-based questions like 'describe a time when have you had a disagreement with a colleague and have had to compromise' and 'tell me about a time you have had to champion something that others might not have agreed with'. The third round involved a case study, giving me a task typical for the role. The team and HR were great, accommodating my schedule and communicating well. I even got feedback, making it a positive experience.
- Can you share an instance where you had a disagreement with a colleague and needed to compromise?
- Tell me about a situation where you had to advocate for something that didn't have widespread agreement.
- What do you know about the role and the job description?
Senior Associate
It was a smooth and quick process. Started with an application, then a call with HR, followed by two more interviews with team members. The conversations were informative and friendly, but I realized the role wasn't for me after learning more. It wasn't overly challenging, but you should know what the company does and what the job involves. Be prepared for questions about your role and tasks during the interviews!
- Can you tell me what you know about GLG and this specific role?
Associate
The process is pretty straightforward with 3 rounds after the initial HR call. The first round is a Manager Evaluation where you'll present a Powerpoint Case Study. If that goes well, you move to the 2nd round with a VP, and then the 3rd round is with a stakeholder.
- Can you tell us about your most recent experience and how it relates to making an impact at GLG?
- In addition to your current experience, can you discuss your proficiency in Excel and SFDC?
- What is your experience with Excel?
