So after applying, they sent me two exams a couple weeks back, one for front end development which covered html, css, and SOAP request stuff. The other was for back end development and it covered JavaScript, SQL, and PHP. I didn't know all the tech they tested on but I still did fine. Then, they called me to see if I wanted to move forward and set up a quality control test. That quality control test was proctored, had no time limit, and it asked about 15 extended response questions that tested my attention to detail. After that, I had a behavioral interview over Microsoft Teams. The next day, they called me about an offer. The whole process took around 2 weeks, and everyone was super nice, the benefits looked great, and the pay was okay so I accepted.

It was an entry-level role. I spoke with the Dev Manager, Director of Operations, and an HR manager. The Dev Manager asked about my past projects and any challenges I faced during their development. He was easy to talk to. The DOO and HR manager focused on basic behavioral questions. They inquired about my current location and seemed concerned about the commute, even though it's not a significant issue for me. They also asked if I would be relocating since the job is strictly on-site. The office environment felt quite depressing, resembling a prison. They asked about my long-term commitment to the company, and I mentioned around 2 years, though I maybe should have given a different answer. The lack of hybrid or remote work options is understandable for a developer role. There were no technical coding assessments. Although I didn't receive an offer, I'm relieved because I would have likely looked for a new job shortly after starting. They mentioned their platform is 'supposed' to look old, which I found odd, suggesting laziness in not updating to modern technologies. They use JQuery and PHP, and also Vue.js, but I'm more interested in newer technologies for career growth. Their main website is built on WordPress, which further contributed to my disinterest.

I applied to Gleim and it had 3 stages. First, there were 2 tests, one for backend (PHP, OOPS, SOAP) and one for frontend (HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery). They were pretty easy, but some questions were cut off which was weird. Then, a Gleim person watched me take a quality control test focusing on details, no tech involved. After a few weeks, I had an online behavioral interview about me.
