First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Glazer's.
Division Manager
It was a very long and drawn-out process. When the interview finally happened, it was mostly about the interviewer and not very much about me. I already worked for the company for a long time, so much was already decided before the interview. Still, it took them over a month to offer me the job after a 2 to 3 month interview process.
- Can you tell me more about yourself?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Describe a situation where you encountered a difficulty and how you managed to resolve it.
Sales Representative
The interview process felt pretty laid-back and friendly. I chatted with the General Manager who was super nice and happy to answer all my questions. The main thing that stopped me from taking the job was that they wanted me to work in San Antonio, and I was hoping for Austin. It took a few days after the initial recruiter call to actually get the in-person interview. Even though I sometimes wish I'd taken it because I really liked the job after the interview, the relocation was a dealbreaker.
- Could you tell me about your greatest weakness?
Intern
I met recruiters at my university career fair and talked to an employee who told me about the internship and asked me some questions on the spot. Then I had to sign up for an interview. The interview was the next day on campus with two employees.
- Tell me about why you picked your university.
- What are your strengths?
- Since nobody's perfect, what are two areas where you can improve?
Category Manager
The interview felt laid-back and straightforward. Generally, they ask questions about your background and if you can do the job. For some roles, especially based on the title, a computer test might be given to check your technical skills.
- Could you share your experience with Excel?
