First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gladstone Institutes.
Research Associate
Overall, my interview with Gladstone was very good. The person that I spoke to was able to help me and answered all of my questions that I had. Also, was able to get a sneak peek into their day to day operations. I walked away from their interview feeling good about myself.
- Can I relocate to San Francisco?
Business Systems Analyst
They started with a phone screen with a recruiter to gauge how familiar I am with the Workday system, specifically focusing on HCM and integrations. Next, there were two rounds with the hiring manager and the team, which involved a mix of behavioral and basic technical questions about Workday. Finally, there was a follow-up interview with members of the HR team, who are the system stakeholders.
- Tell me about your experience with specific Workday modules.
- How would you handle the configuration for a direct report reporting to two managers?
- What's your approach to configuring grants?
Associate Director, Grants
Had a recruiter chat about the job, she was nice but light on details. Then got a homework assignment from the director, took about 3 hours. Followed by a group interview with the team that would report to me. They asked basic behavioral questions and seemed uninterested. HR never followed up. Apparently, they promoted one of the interviewers to the role. Total waste of time and shows their culture.

Desktop Support Technician
The process starts with a video call with the hiring manager. If that goes well, then a panel interview will take place with the hiring manager and two other support techs. I am assuming if all goes well then you will be contacted about further steps. It has been weeks without contact so safe to assume this process was not a success.

- Describe a time when you had to show leadership.
