First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gladly.
Product Manager
I had a frustrating recruiting experience with Gladly. They reached out to schedule an interview, but there was a big delay in responding. Once my screening was scheduled, they said we needed to move fast because others were ahead, even though they had delayed for a week. I had an interview right after with no prep time. They seemed to like my interview, but I got no follow-up even after trying to check in since they were in a rush. After weeks of silence, I got a new invite to discuss the job, which seemed like a mistake since I had already interviewed. When I asked, they admitted the error but criticized my preparedness, which was tough given the short notice. The whole process felt unprofessional and disorganized and isn't a place I'd want to work if this is how interviews go.
- What motivates you to join this company
Product Manager
The interview process was really drawn out. The interviewer kept pushing the date back, like 3 or 4 times. When we finally had the interview, it was one of the worst experiences ever. The audio was terrible, and the interviewer had a really bad, almost mean attitude. They jumped straight into aggressive questions without even introducing themselves or trying to make small talk. After all that, I didn't even get a chance to ask my questions. I know there was a long interview process after that, but I ended up declining. Definitely dodged a bullet there.
- Can you share an instance where you had a disagreement with an executive, and what steps did you take to persuade them to adopt your perspective?
- Describe a situation where you devised an innovative solution to address a customer's issue.
Product Manager
The interview process involved a 30-minute recruiter call, followed by a writing sample submission. Next was a 30-minute call with the hiring manager, which was a highlight. After that, there was a round of four 45-minute 1:1 interviews with people from Engineering, Design, Customer Success, and Product Management. If I had reached the final stages, I would have had a call with the Chief Product Officer and a short, 15-minute team presentation, though the purpose of this last one was unclear.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to get different stakeholders to agree on roadmap priorities?
