The interview process was pretty standard. It began with a recruiter screen, then a hiring manager interview where we discussed my past experiences and some behavioral questions. After that, I did a take-home assignment for the role. I put a lot of time into it, but it was cool that Givelify compensates candidates if they use their solution. Then I met with the leadership panel and the executive leadership team. Finally, I got an offer. The whole thing took about a month. My recruiter was super supportive and even took weekend calls to answer my questions. The experience felt open, personal, and organized.

So I applied and had a recruiter screen, which was fine, the recruiter gave me a lot of info. Then I went through a few rounds of interviews and was asked to do an assignment on their product. I sent it in without getting to present it and was then rejected with no feedback. They also promised a $200 donation to a charity, which never happened even after I checked with the nonprofit. Dodged a bullet.

I talked to the company recruiter who just read questions from a script and didn't seem to care about me or my questions. Then they told me to do a behavioral and cognitive assessment. I got 3 different assessments that were confusing and took an hour to complete. I never heard back from them after an automated email. Honestly, I'm kinda glad I didn't move forward. Companies that don't make a good first impression lose out because applicants can be brand ambassadors.
