Partnerships Manager
Started with an HR chat, then met with two people from the team, including the boss and a peer. The HR part was easy and open. The team interview was more in-depth. They sent the questions beforehand, which was helpful. Everyone on the team was friendly, so it was a good experience overall.
- Can you share an instance where you resolved a conflict with a coworker?
Partnerships Manager
I had a Zoom phone screen where the interviewer didn't show their camera and asked typical questions. After I followed up two weeks later, they sent a work sample that was unusually extensive, including both written and Excel components. Then, I was invited to a second interview, which was presented as another phone screen, and I was asked the exact same questions as the first time, again with the interviewer's camera off. I checked in after another two weeks and was informed I wasn't moving forward. My request for feedback went unanswered. The time I invested felt disrespected, and I wouldn't reapply.
- What innovations would you suggest to leadership?
Partnerships Manager
GD reached out to me to apply. I thought it was a good match so I applied. I was asked to interview a few days later and picked the first time. I prepped by reading their website. The interviewer was a bit late. I had to email them. I thought the interview went fine. It was simple questions about my experience, thoughts on poverty, and what I liked about the org. A few days later, I got an email saying I didn't move forward. I was surprised since they reached out to me and the interview was simple. I asked for feedback because their site says they value it, but I didn't get a response. I guess they don't really value feedback.
- Can you walk me through your career journey?
- What are your views on poverty?
- What appeals to you about GD?
