I was shopping in the store and was approached by one of the managers asking if I was interested in working there. I was in college and needed a part-time job so I gave her my information. I received a phone call the next day for an interview later in the week. Interviewed in a group setting. Basic questions, some behavioral. Easy interview process, they basically want to see how personable you are and what type of position you qualify for. But their main focus is definitely appearance. Managers were always really nice and didn't make the interview process awkward at all.

I signed up for an interview at the in-store kiosk. Then I got a phone call from Gilly Hick's management about a group interview on Friday. I went to the group interview with about 15 other girls, mostly students. They asked questions about previous work experience, the meaning of teamwork, and workplace policies. Dress code was like 'Abercrombie' type clothes...Jeans and a cute top are perfectly acceptable because it's a more laid-back casual store and atmosphere.

I really liked the Gilly Hicks store and wanted to work there. If you apply in person, everyone gets an interview. It turned out to be a group interview with about 10 candidates and 2 managers. We talked about past jobs and the dress code. It was a little chaotic with so many people, but okay overall. I wore some store clothes, and someone mentioned it positively during the interview.
