Scientist
The interview process went well. The interviewers were very knowledgeable, and the operations seemed very efficient. It seems like a place with many genuine and hardworking professionals, making the experience worthwhile. The HR department was quick to move things along once the process began, although they took a considerable amount of time to answer questions.
- Can you tell me about your skills and abilities?
Environmental Scientist
We had a single zoom interview. They asked general questions like how I would handle employee issues, and also company-specific questions. I got an email afterward about whether I got the job.
- What makes you a good member at Gilead.
Senior Scientist
I had a phone interview with the hiring manager, lasting about 30 minutes. He asked me scientific behavioral questions, like hypothetical ones, to see if I knew what I was told about. He got his Ph.D a few years ago and seemed to try to act tough during the interview.
- How can an existing assay be improved?
- How would you go about developing an assay when you don't have prior knowledge?
