Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gilead Sciences.
Associate Director
I sent in my application online and got an email for an interview in under a week. First, I talked to the recruiter, which was pretty standard and mostly about confirming my experience. Then, I had a weird interview with the hiring manager. Their questions were too specific, and I couldn't figure out what they were looking for.
- Can you tell me about your experience managing suppliers and how you've handled changes in that area?
Associate
I applied online through the company website, had my initial call a month later. I was given about 5 interviews and had a whole interview schedule with managers and current staff only to be ghosted when emailing and reaching out to both the UK contractors and US recruitment teams. This was extremely unprofessional after the amount of interviews and time spent.
- Were there any healthcare compliance related questions?
Associate
It was a 30-minute phone screen with TA, then a 1-hour formal interview with the hiring manager. After that, there were about 7 panel interviews with different team members, each around 30 minutes long. Finally, there was a follow-up call with the hiring manager.
- Could you explain how you'd effectively implement a project timeline?
