First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher.
Legal Operations Associate
The interviewer shared some details about how they got their job and their hiring methods, which came across as unprofessional and created an uncomfortable atmosphere for me as a candidate. As someone from a minority group, this made me question the situation even more.
- The interviewer wanted to chat rather than ask about my skills.
Pricing Analyst
I had a back-to-back interview set up, one with a specialist and another with the hiring manager. Unfortunately, the hiring manager cancelled just five minutes before the interview was supposed to start. Then, I had to wait two weeks to hear back from HR with a rejection.
- Can you tell me about the skills you'd bring to this role?
HR Coordinator
The process was super smooth. I had four interviews in total, and they were spread out over two months. First, I met with two people from the team, and then later I met with two more senior HR folks. They asked pretty standard interview questions.
- Can you tell me about your responsibilities in your previous role, what aspects you enjoyed, and what you'd look to improve?
- What responsibilities did you have with your last job?
- What did you like about your last job?
Summer Associate
I went through law school OCI for this position. The process had two rounds, and each round consisted of 3-4 interviews, each lasting about 30 minutes. Two interviewers were present for every interview. Everything was conducted over Zoom because it was during the Covid years. The questions asked were pretty standard.
- Which law school classes did you enjoy the most?
