Technical Group Behavioral Case

I was contacted through an MBA program and had a few phone calls with someone from the company. Then, I was given an Excel test. The initial file had formatting issues, and the replacement file was also problematic with my version of Office 365, but I managed to get it working on an older system. During the test, they repeatedly called to check on my progress, which was annoying given the previous technical difficulties. Following that, there was a group interview held at a hotel restaurant, which felt unprofessional due to the setting and lack of space for materials. After introductions, they asked about my background. Most of the senior staff were professional, but one was quite rude and condescending. The junior staff seemed unsure. Towards the end, one of the interviewers read from a script and asked an accounting question requiring a calculation. As I started working on it, they all gathered around, asking random questions, and the rude senior interviewer demanded the growth number, ending the interview. The experience made me realize I didn't want to work there due to perceived career limitations within the company structure.

Technical Behavioral

The interview experience felt generally unprofessional. Scheduling was tough due to unresponsive employees who seemed indifferent, requiring multiple follow-ups. During the first interview, the interviewer's camera was off. Despite claims of hiring high-caliber candidates, the process left a poor first impression. Notably, an Excel test was administered last minute, and no feedback or grading was provided. It felt redundant to give this test if the outcome was not hiring, and it should have been administered earlier, perhaps during the initial interview.

Behavioral Technical

Had a quick chat on the phone with someone from the team, it was mostly behavioral. They asked about my Excel/SQL/technical skills, and it was pretty chill. Even though I didn't move forward, the person took time to give me feedback on how I can improve for future interviews, which was really cool and made me like the company more.
